Nature Tagging at the National Museum of Wildlife Art

Yesterday I headed up a kid friendly art project at the National Museum of Wildlife Art. We did some natural tagging/stencil work on nature’s white canvas of snow around the museum. We provided the kids with animal stencils cut from dura-plast (plastic cardboard) and shakers full of potting soil and natural charcoal (no lighter fluid). We also added some wildflower seeds to the mix. The kids found smooth areas of snow out of the wind and sprinkled out their creations. They seemed to really enjoy the project and kept at it throughout the event.
